Rowdies Close Out Season On Friday

The FC Tampa Bay Rowdies are closing out their 2010 inaugural season at home in front of their fans on Friday, October 1, against Crystal Palace Baltimore during "Lotto Title Night."  Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday night, FC Tampa Bay will honor former Tampa Bay Rowdies player and Tampa Bay Mutiny head coach Perry Van Der Beck by retiring his number 12 jersey. Van Der Beck, the current executive vice president, technical director and director of player development for FC Tampa Bay, wore number 12 jersey as a midfielder for the Tampa Bay Rowdies and no FC Tampa Bay player will be permitted to wear that number from now on.

"Perry is a well respected member of this community. His positive impact can never truly be measured," said FC Tampa Bay President and Owner Andrew Nestor. "He has represented Tampa Bay with class for years both on and off the field and retiring his number 12 is a well deserved honor."

Friday night is also "Fan Appreciation Night" where fans will be receiving a raffle ticket attached to their roster card that qualifies them for items being raffled off by the Rowdies. Items being raffled off throughout the night include a team-signed ball, a team-signed scarf, a one-night stay at Mainsail Suites, a round of golf at Saddlebrook Resort and a TV.

The first 1,500 kids 14 and under will also receive limited edition Rowdies Silly Bandz that are in the form of Hoops, FCTB and a soccer ball.

Tickets can be purchased for Friday night's match by calling 888-75-ROWDIES, emailing tickets@tbrowdies.com or through Ticketmaster by clicking here.

Also join the Rowdies players and Ralph's Mob on Friday at  the Post-Game Party at Champp's at International Mall for some food and drinks. Champp's is offering half price appetizers, as well as $3 and $4 beer specials starting at 10 p.m.

Ralph's Mob will be presenting players and members with awards for their accomplishments during the 2010 inaugural season. Ralph's Mob will also have a silent auction that benefits Ralph's Mob and A Millien Dreams Foundation, Pascal Millien's Foundation, which supports the children in Haiti through the sport of soccer.

Items included in the auction are a team-signed Lotto soccer ball, a pair of cleats signed by Aaron King, a New Zealand World Cup jersey from Jeremy Christie, goalie gloves signed by Daryl Sattler and custom Ralph's Mob gear from Julian Valentin.

Raffle tickets start at $1 per ticket or $5 for 6 tickets, $10 for 15 tickets or $20 for 30 tickets.
